The power of connecting with people through common experiences and stories is a hallmark of Blue’s career in service. Her dedication to excellence has shaped her leadership and governance style.

Blue’s local government career and statewide board service reflect her determination to make a difference for others. She currently serves as Robeson County Manager, after advancing through county government in roles that included Assistant County Manager, Finance Director, and Assistant Finance Director.
Blue is a member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
Local and state contributions
Blue began her credit union service on LGFCU’s Eastern Sandhills Advisory Council and the LGFCU Advisory Board, before being elected to the Board of Directors in 2012. She has played a key role in the development of Civic Federal Credit Union, and also serves on the Civic Local Foundation Board.
Her Board service focuses on education, finance and local government, all marked by significant contributions to her local community and state. Blue is Vice Chair of the UNC School of Government Foundation Board of Directors. She is also a member of the UNC Board of Governors, where she currently serves as Vice Chair of the board. She is actively involved with local Councils of Governments in Robeson, Hoke, Scotland, Bladen and Richmond counties.
Future focus
Blue believes the credit union model helps make a difference in the lives of others, building relationships that set it apart from other institutions.
“It’s a willingness to go above and beyond,” she says. “It matters, to go the extra mile and help members. There are unlimited opportunities for us to best serve our community.”
