A 20-year veteran of the credit union industry, Pete VanGraafeiland is the Chief Member Experience Officer at LGFCU and Civic Federal Credit Union.
Prior to his current role, VanGraafeiland was the Senior Vice President of Member Services at Civic. Until 2017, he was Vice President of Member Services at LGFCU. Before joining LGFCU, VanGraafeiland was with Coastal Federal Credit Union as the Manager of Consumer Lending and Business Development. Prior to that, he was a Mortgage Loan Officer at State Employees’ Credit Union.
He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a management concentration from Elon University and earned a master's degree in Corporate Finance from Campbell University. VanGraafeiland is also a Credit Union Certified Executive and is currently attending NC State University to attain his Master of Risk Management and Analytics.
VanGraafeiland is married and has three young sons. He enjoys playing tennis and golf, and spending time with his family.
