Join the Credit Union dedicated to firefighters
If you work or volunteer at a North Carolina fire station, you’re eligible for LGFCU membership. We are the first Credit Union dedicated to serving the financial needs of firefighters across the state, as well as municipal and county employees, elected/appointed officials, local government volunteers and their families.
We’re convenient
LGFCU partners with State Employees’ Credit Union to share its network of over 250 branches and more than 1,000 CashPoints® ATMs across the state. So, wherever you see an SECU branch, its staff provides service to LGFCU members too. You can also access your LGFCU accounts anytime, anywhere through Member Connect online banking. Just log in from your computer or mobile device to check account balances, apply for a loan and much more. LGFCU doesn’t charge a fee for members to access Member Connect or our full website via mobile, but your mobile provider may.
We give back
We recognize that firefighters give so much to the community, which is why we’ve made it easy for you to help generate funds for the North Carolina State Firefighters’ Association (NCSFA) through the use of a special debit card. Each time you use your NCSFA Visa® Debit Card, LGFCU donates 50% of its share of the net merchant fees directly to programs sponsored by the NCSFA.

You and your family are members for life, regardless of whether you retire or change careers, as long as you're a member in good standing. That is defined as a member who is not overdrawn on Checking or Share Accounts and has not defaulted on LGFCU loans. UTMA Accounts do not qualify.
