The members of the LGFCU Board of Directors bring decades of local government experience and accomplishments to their roles on our Board. But most importantly, they are volunteers.
Unlike the paid boards of for-profit financial institutions, this volunteer perspective, combined with our Directors’ deep knowledge of local government, is critical to the way they lead LGFCU, from setting its policies to appointing our CEO and members of our credit union committees. Many on the Board started as Advisory Council members, a network of credit union advocates helping to share information about financial products and services to members and potential members. Other Directors started on various committee boards, such as the Supervisory, Loan Review or Compensation Committees.
Most important, as a Board elected by the LGFCU membership, our Directors are here to listen and to represent your best interests. As longtime LGFCU members themselves, they respect the work you do and the goals you’ve set for your family, and serve with your prosperity in mind.
